The space started out as a storage room and a maid’s quarters, but was transformed into an elegant wine cellar. The dramatic feel of the space was achieved through high ceilings and rich materials. Humidity and temperature controls insure that the wine is stored properly. The entire space is covered in either wood, stone or brick. This was to convey the feel of solidity and structural integrity to the home. We pride ourselves in our attention to detail, and this project certainly attests to that. Wainscot paneling was integrated in with the cabinetry to disguise the structural elements of the building.
